2.5 MW CAT Now Available!

Generator Source has seen an influx of larger gensets coming into inventory recently as the field services teams keeps finding amazing, low hour units all over the country. We often decommission generators for clients, then bring the units to either Jacksonville, Florida or Brighton, Colorado, where we then test and service them. A 2.5 MW Caterpillar just arrived and here are the specifications.

“Unit 90896 is a large Caterpillar we just acquired from a local company here in Colorado,” said General Manager Tim Lathan. “This diesel 2500 kW genset features a CAT 3516C-HD engine with low hours (345), a sound attenuated enclosure, 277/480 V, a built-in fuel polishing system, and a 4,250-gallon, 24-hour fuel tank. This beautiful standby Caterpillar will not last long.”
 
While at Generator Source Brighton, the unit will go through a 31-point inspection certification process as part of our Satisfaction Guarantee. This process will make sure the unit is ready to go to work for a new client.
