Difference Between High, Medium and Low Voltage
and How they Relate to Generators

 
High Voltage Switch GearVoltages are divided into five classifications, but "high, medium and low" are the most common terms used in the power industry. Classifications and ranges can change depending on worldwide geographic location and other factors. In the United States, the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Electrical Manufacturer's Association (NEMA) have guidelines and standards that cover all voltage classifications.
